受此影响的姓还有“闾”、“律”。原因：英文及电脑中无字母ü “吕”字的拼音，书面上正确的写法应该是“lü”，护照上多见的有以下两种拼法： LV，是一种计算机输入法，是按照《汉语拼音方案的通用键盘表示规范》来写的，因为电脑键盘上没有韵母“ü”这个键，所以变通地采用“V”键代替。

LU，因为韵母“ü”没有大写形式，所以，在某些公共场合或者护照上，就用“U”代替。但这两种拼法各有问题：首先，汉语拼音里根本没有“V”这个字母，LV这种拼法，让一些不明就里的人根本不会拼读；而“LU”和鲁、陆等拼音混淆在一起。

新规统一了关于字母ü的使用，规定全部用“YU”代替，其他拼音中带有“ü”的字，比如“女”等字，也需要在填写护照申请表时按照新的拼写方法改写。影响：更改拼写遇麻烦可办加注新规出台后，有吕姓网友开玩笑说，“咱以后不姓路易威登（LV为路易威登品牌英文缩写）了”。

不过更多的网友提出疑虑，新的拼写方式如与银行卡等信息的拼写方法不一致，会不会带来麻烦？比如姓吕的人在办理银行卡、英语留学考试和机票订购时，也有“LU”和“LV”混用的现象。吕先生持有护照，上面打的姓是LU，但他持有的所有银行卡的资料上全填写的是LV。

“我如果出国，同时需要用信用卡，护照上的姓与卡上的是不相符的，遇到这种情况怎么办？”吕先生还有个疑虑，“我的护照没有到期，还是LU，新的港澳通行证却是LYU，这会不会影响以后的出行？” 另外，记者了解到，护照过期或者遗失需要补办的，都按照新规执行。这样一来，新旧护照的姓名拼法不统一，也可能给持证人带来麻烦。

此次，公安部出入境管理局给出回应：如确有需要，持照人可以向护照签发机关申请办理姓名加注，证明原姓名拼音曾使用LU或LV。据悉，姓名“加注”就是在护照的备注页面上，把原来“LU”、“LV”的拼写方法做一个备注，这样的话，几种拼音方法都可以通用了，加注费用为20元。

网友们也互相提醒，今后网上在线申请信用卡或办理其他证件时，都要按照新的拼写规则填写表格，另外，在办理签证、提供酒店和机票预订单时也要注意统一姓名拼写。
