地形地貌：
爱尔兰境内中部为平原，多湖泊和沼泽，平均海拔100米左右。北部，西北部和南部为高原和山地。中部是丘陵和平原，沿海多为高地；最长的河流香侬河（Abha na Sionainne）长约370多公里，最大的湖泊为科里布湖（Loch Koilib）。
爱尔兰岛南北长475公里，东西宽275公里，全岛面积为8.4万平方公里，其中5/6的面积属于爱尔兰共和国。爱尔兰国土由中部平原和环列四周的滨海山构成，形似一个边缘陡峭的盆地，南北高中间低。
