3. 请问英语的“业余爱好”怎么写
楼上大多数人都喜欢用 a hobby 这个词。其实是错误的，a hobby 仅仅是指某人的一个喜好，喜欢，并不表示是业余的爱好，比如他喜欢喝茶，这也是一种爱好，但喝茶并不表示非要在业余时间里才能喝，他上班的时候也可以喝茶呀！
也有人用 an avocation，这个也是错误的，因为 an avocation 仅表示某人的一个兼差，比如他业余时间里兼职做司机，兼差，虽然可以在业余时间里去做，但不一定就是一份爱好，也许他业余时间去当司机，是为了能挣更多的钱来养家，而并非他很喜欢开车，平时上班的时候摸不到车，而在业余时间里去摸摸车，过过瘾当业余司机。
其实，所谓业余爱好，有两个条件，其一必须是在业余时间，其二应该是他所喜欢做的事情，是个爱好。
因此，英语词汇里有一个专门的词汇是表达这个意思的，也即：an amateur，这个词其实来源于法语，写法也相同。原意表示非职业的，但属于爱好。这个人有其自己正规的职业，而并非主要靠这个爱好吃饭。当然在正职以外，他喜欢这个，好一口这个，当然也可以拿这个去挣点副业，但前提是他确实喜欢。喜好这个！
