I clearly remember my first time to go to the Great Wall in Beijing - the longest building in the world. It is 8.8 kilometers in total which stretches from Shanhaiguan in the east to Lop Nur in the west. It is also long and big enough to be observed by satellite in the space. The day I went to the Great Wall with my family was during the Chinese national day's break. There were people everywhere, including children, old people, young people and foreign tourists. It was so crowded that we advanced by being pushed by the crowd. The weather was getting hotter and hotter. As a result, we decided to go back when we were in the middle of the whole trip which made our trip come to an end.
Although, this journey was kind of imperfect because we didn't climb up to the top of the mountain, we were still very happy with ourselves. Because participation is the most important thing when you are trying to do something. So I think the journey is meaningful to us because we gain a lot of pleasure from it.
